The bike is shaping up!
Welded up the frame and added the axles, springer front end and Fat Boy wheels and tires. I need to swap out the bearings to 3/4" and get new neck cup bearings. needless to say, I'm pretty stoked with the look of the bike so far.

Here are some pics of the bike progress and a workbench I built yesterday. The frame is nearly ready for welding, but I have to fit the engine first. On certain year Sportsters, including mine, there is a flat underside of the down tube for the rear rocker cover to slide under. Without the flat side there is no clearance. The only way to fit the engine with a led sled hard tail is to heat up the tube and pound it flat. I will be beating on the frame tomorrow, and with any luck will have it welded on Saturday.
The workbench is awesome and is working quite well as a tire rack also. I left the center open to accommodate a shop stool (I like to work sitting down). The peg board will be nice for getting my hand tools out and accessible.

The BOBBER
Have a 95 sportster xlh upgraded to a 1200 custom with 96 tins. Will be welding on a hardtail from led sled customs, 4 under springer front end, and adding a 200mm rear tire from a 2008 fatboy, the front will also be from a fatboy and is a 150mm---this will be a very FAT looking bobber. I got the jack the other day and will post pictures as I progress. Should look something like the second bike, with a springer front and a fatter front tire.
