Here are some pics of the bike progress and a workbench I built yesterday. The frame is nearly ready for welding, but I have to fit the engine first. On certain year Sportsters, including mine, there is a flat underside of the down tube for the rear rocker cover to slide under. Without the flat side there is no clearance. The only way to fit the engine with a led sled hard tail is to heat up the tube and pound it flat. I will be beating on the frame tomorrow, and with any luck will have it welded on Saturday.The workbench is awesome and is working quite well as a tire rack also. I left the center open to accommodate a shop stool (I like to work sitting down). The peg board will be nice for getting my hand tools out and accessible.
